Alexis Fecteau has been an instructor pilot, standardization and evaluation flight examiner, flight lead, mission commander, NATO mission commander, functional check flight pilot, and has commanded a flight and a squadron, and been Director of Operations

Ranked Top Reserve Officer at the National Security Space Institute and Space Warfare Center in unit for 3 straight years, Fecteau is highly decorated; he wears the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Medal with silver oak leaf cluster, the Aerial Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the AF Outstanding Unit Award with silver and bronze oak leaf cluster, the AF Organizational Excellence Award with oak leaf cluster, the Combat Readiness Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the National Defense Service Medal with service star, the Southwest Asia Service Medal with three service stars, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Air Force Overseas Ribbon Long, the Air Force Longevity Service with three oak leaf clusters, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with two mobilization devices, the Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon with star, the Air Force Training Ribbon, the NATO Service Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Medal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal from the Government of Kuwait.

Alexis Fecteau completed pilot training at Vance AFB, Oklahoma, and holds certification from the following programs; Squadron Officer School, Maxwell AFB, AL, the NATO Tactical Leadership Programme in Florennes, Belgium, the AFSPC Squadron Commanders' Course, Peterson AFB, Co, the Advanced Space Operator's Course, Schriever AFB, Co, The Space in the Air Operations Course, Schriever AFB, CO, the Air Education and Training Command Instructor Course, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Air War College.

Together, the Fecteaus dedicate much of their free time to causes both within their community and outside it; including the Catholic Diocese of Colorado Spring's Marion House Soup Kitchen, Compassion Internationals' Sponsor a Child, Goodwill Industries, the Catholic Church, and the Nature Conservancy.

Giving has been a common theme throughout the life of Alexis Fecteau, who has given over twenty years of his life and expertise to the United States Air Force and the American people. A dedicated and skilled leader, Fecteau's guidance and detail have impacted colleagues through times of peace, and times of war. A command pilot, Colonel Fecteau charted over 3,000 flying hours, including over 500 combat flying hours in the F-15C during the overseas operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Deny Flight, Vigilant Warrior and Southern Watch. Among others, he received medals for his work with National Defense, NATO, and the Liberation of Kuwait. Most recently, Col. Lt. Fecteau gave direct support to both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom by training over 1000 officer and enlisted space operators.
